Once you get beyond the amazement of Tim's ever-so-slight hint of Elton John influence, you'll discover wonders like the Irish overtones on cuts like "Long Lost Son Of Ireland." While all the tracks are good, the best cut on this disc is "Perpetual Motion" for its sincerity in lyric and its unique use of the pan knob. Next is 2Take Tim's "BUENOS NOCHES NACOGDOCHES," which commences with the Eric Carmen-ish "52 Card Pickup," glides through the truth-bearing title cut, and concludes with a great set of bonus tracks. Tim also offers the 13-cut "TIM BRYANT…IS A FOUR LETTER WORD," a 1998 release which also contains an earlier, slightly different arrangement to my aforementioned fave, "Perpetual Motion."
