Ryan Willingham was born in Dallas, Texas and has lived in Arlington his entire life. He is presently a sophomore at the University of Texas in Arlington. When we was an eigth-grader, he began drawing his favorite athletes and celebrities, and just two years after that, commissioned is first piece. Since then, he has been doing commission artwork for people on a regular basis. It was in 2001 that Ryan added musicians to his drawing subjects, and the result was pure gold. Texas musician Pat Green was his first musical subject, and now Ryan has plans to continue drawing various Texas musicians because of his admiration for their style of music. Willingham has also recently learned to play the guitar himself and considers that one of his favorite activties. Ryan has gone from drawing pictures to hang on his own wall to drawing pieces for other people to fill their walls with. He is excited at the possiblity of making a career out of his artwork and becoming known for his photo realistic style. We see very big things for Ryan in the future!
