"Some day back when I was in college the muse came floating in through the window and I
decided to pick up the guitar I had in the closet since 4th grade and write a song. It was a little
number about ills of society, like $2 pitchers of watered down, lukewarm beer. But seriously, that
got me started down the path I'm on now.
I'm not really sure what made me want to write. Growing up in a small town, folks want you to
play football and graduate from college and things like that. Not that being creative was frowned
upon, but I'm sure my folks would rather me be doing something else with my time. Somewhere
down the line I ended up discovering for myself guys like Terry Allen and Guy Clark, and that oh
so many times cited influence, Townes Van Zandt. Listening to those guys made me feel like the
things I wanted to say to people had relevance.
I think I have a little bit to say in my music. I believe that the song is a medium for painting a
picture, not just telling a story. I've never been really good a telling stories, if you listen to my
songs, they are usually a four minute explanation of a feeling I had at some point in time, a
snapshot if you will.
Well, I don't have an album or any merchandise right now, but you can go to my website and
listen to my music, check out my pictures, see where I'm going to be at, leave a message, etc.
Hope you enjoy, and hope I see you at a show sometime..."
