If you do, then your trip will have been a happy and worthwhile one. April is one of those talented Libras who sings, plays, writes, and even sculpts. She’s bursting with stories to tell and her songs are joyous observations of life, sometimes honest beyond comfort. Her debut offering, Bootleg is studded with just such, with songs like “P.M.S.” and “Poison In Small Doses.” Confident guitar, crisp vocals, and thought-provoking lyrics are the signatures of this CD. Folk music? No, just another excellent example of how Texas music is defined by the fabulous blend of multiple-genre influences. April found her love for music early, but followed her dream of performing only after a 16 year break. That maturity shows through on this CD, and ou’re going to be the next April Kelly fan!
