Borderline Express Self-titled ©2005 Sour Branch SB071505 Review by Lucky Boyd Bill Peters, Elizabeth Peters, and Don Ling are the current configuration of Borderline Express. With guitar, fiddle, and dobro as the core elements of the band, it's no wonder this adept trio handle the folk bluegrass genre. It's easy to hear that this group had a great time recording this album. This loose combo delivers songs penned by Bill Peters with a few covers mixed in. Use of a laundry list of instruments makes this an interesting listen. There's even a wash tub bass. Guest appearances are made by Raiford Starke and Lisa Marie Foy. "Coal Miner's Mountain" has an almost Johnny Cash feel to it. It may be the best cut on the album, written by W.L. Peters, Jr. Give a listen today!
