Brenda Freed's third CD, "Smilin' Inside" is my favorite. This CD really showcases the clarity and soulfulness of her voice, in styles that flow from jazzy blues to cajun and a cappella. I had a good time all the way from the opening cut, "My Human Loves Me" - a song from the canine perspective - to the haunting "In the Nest of our Hearts" at the end. I didn't want this CD to be over so soon. I love the vocals, great band and really tight arrangements. This is one fine CD. More please! |

This CD has been in my changer for nearly a year and shows no signs of wearing out its welcome. Brenda's warm, rich voice gives life to songs in variety of styles, blues, jazz, folk, that are at once old and very modern. Put it in your changer and take the risk of permanently losing a slot to this CD. |

Brenda Freed and Hot Flash charmed the sox off the Belton Acoustic Concert goers. Besides bare feet, we now have the remembered pleasures of being entertained by three gracious and attractive women with magnetic personalities. Their professionalism and terrifically crafted vocal harmonies are a must-hear. |
