MyTexasMusic member artist Steve Fowler has teamed up with Shawn Lee Morris, Dan Semetko, and Andrew Bradt for a great new project called Bucko Ruckus. "FOUR ON THE FLOOR" is their four-cut warm-up EP, a prelude of things to come. Shades of Lester Flatt are interlaced in the guitar work on this disc. It's a refreshing undertone to good song choices, vocal arrangements, and songwriting as Bucko Ruckus rolls a folk-influenced slant into a strong country groove. This is a lighter, but capable side of country music, free from the over-abundant minutia associated with most of today's radio repertoire. Instead, these are just four guys banging out good country music. While the disc is a fair representation of the band, their live performances are a treasure.
