Cindy Pruitt “SONGS FROM INSIDE THE BUBBLE” ©2001 Independently released Notes by Lucky Boyd Cindy Pruitt’s influences paint a broad stroke across her music. A folk-laden package of sounds with some pop flair are found throughout this disc. Performed entirely by Pruitt (except for a guest appearance by Kat Drake on three cuts), the album is a statement of life and love from the eyes of Cindy. An ambitious home-burn, this album is but a precursor of what is to come from this talented songwriter. Pruitt’s melodies are fresh and her structure is sound. Given the chance and production development, I don’t doubt that you will hear excellent things from Pruitt in the near future. This disc is a little loose and un-mastered, but it doesn’t hide Pruitt’s true abilities. There are some great songs here performed with a talented and unique voice. We are excited to tell you that we hear a new project is in the works for Cindy – until then, this debut project will hold you over nicely.
