Dana Haas
The debut CD, "LOVE IS" (Sixtone), from Dana Haas is an excellent first offering. At age 19, she released only the first of what will be a long list of discs. Haas will fill her future with quality offerings as she entertains fans with her true Texas vocal skills. She will take us on journeys like the tour through the hall of shame she sings about in “My Ex-Boyfriend Hall Of Fame” and she will continue to dazzle us with brilliant performances as in the Dottie West-like “It’s How You Play The Game Of Love.” While this is probably new territory for the R&B/Rock lovers at the Sixtone label, they did a pretty fair job of producing this young country music talent. I can imagine Dana Haas will soar quickly to the top of the charts once she is produced by the likes of Keith Stegall (Alan Jackson’s producer) or John Jennings (Mary-Chapin Carpenter’s producer). While the future looms quite bright for this rising Texas singer, her present is not depressing. Her appearances are frequent and wide-spread. Her voice is confident and inviting. Haas rivals performers like Faith Hill and Lee Ann Womack on “Pretty Is As Pretty Does” and the beautifully arranged “Crimson Rose.” It won’t take much for you to become the next Dana Haas fan. It will be much easier for you if you own the CD. Buy it today for only $11.99!
