Debbie Rule, a true "Texas Girl", was born in San Antonio and raised in the northern panhandle. She studied Music Education at Texas Tech University and has been in the entertainment industry for over 30 years. She has an extensive background in modeling, acting, and the performing arts industry. One of Debbie's passions is to be a part of passing down the legacy of Traditional Country Music and its Texas Roots to the next generation. Debbie travels all over the country as a speaker and performer. Although she has just recorded her first album, TEXAS GIRLS (Heart of Texas Records), she is no stranger to the stage as a performer. She is a former model and has worked in the fashion industry for many years. She still works with agents and managers internationally, marketing new talent. Debbie equips acting for television/film coaches, modeling coaches, and vocal coaches who work with young talent interested in entering into the entertainment industry. Debbie is not only country, but she can be a little bit rock-n-roll. She has a passion for leading contemporary worship, and performing country gospel. Debbie has a love for the theater and has performed many tribute shows to her favorite female country queens, such as Tammy Wynette and others that have inspired her love for country music. "Texas Girls", the signature song on her newly released album, is a tribute to Texas women of all ages. Debbie is proud to be a Texas Girl and the song was inspired by a tune that kept running through her mind as she traveled. "You can take the girl out of Texas, but Texas never leaves!" When most folks hear Debbie's unique, crystal-clear voice, there is an immediate sense of connection. She captures her audiences, as an on-air personality with KNEL Radio and on stage as a performer. Debbie is a crowd-mover and the songs she performs resonate profoundly. They reflect the experiences of real people, who have seen both the best and worst that life has to offer. Debbie is a member of the Americana Music Association, Heart of Texas Country Music Association, and the newest member of the Academy of Texas Music. She is also a member at the Professional level with the National Speaker Association. She is a busy woman with both feet planted firmly on the Texas ground. Help us welcome Debbie to the MyTexasMusic family - we're so proud to have her!!
