The Fowler Brothers
The Fowler Brothers, Steve and James, have been performing since the early 70's. They're well-known around Houston, and now you can take them home with you. The Fowler Brothers offer their cassette turned CD, "LIVE AT THE HOPS HOUSE." Recorded live all at one performance at The Hops House in Houston. Engineered and co-produced by John Crockett, this disc is a great example of laid back, entertaining Texas music in an intimate setting. The venue wasn't a very large one, and it's easy to hear James and Steve connecting the audience. Well-matched voices provide smooth harmonies, and complementary guitar work make this a comfortable disc to keep in the player for a few days. Diane and Steve Fowler penned five of the fifteen tracks, Steve and James wrote two more, Steve wrote three, and James has one of his own. The brothers also cover Rodney Crowell, John Prine, Butch Hancock, and Guy Clark. Jazz flair, country influence, ballad carried, and lyric driven, the diversity of The Fowler Brothers is evident and becomes just another reason to own this disc. Get it today for $9.99!
