The Texas Power Trio (formerly The Gary Delz Power Trio)
I don't want to waste any of your precious time. You've got CDs to order, so I'll just get to it. The live album is fantastic. "LIVE AT THE TEXAS MUSIC CAFÉ" (Midwest) is a 1997 performance recorded in Waco, TX. Tom Burns redefines how high-energy blues should be played as he smokes on lead guitar. A few originals and a few covers, this is an entertaining release. The studio album, "HERE TO STAY" released in 2001 with the reconfigured Gary Delz Power Trio, is well produced and from the opening riff, you'll be hooked with the playing styles of guitarist Alan Stewart and bassist Reverend Dan Perkins. A stellar veteran blues act based out of Austin, the current touring lineup of the modern day newly named Texas Power Trio with founder Gary Delz on drums, Murry Woods on guitar and vocals, and Denzil Smith anchoring down the bass, shows a hot Texas band that continues to grow and polish their sound when playing these recordings at their live gigs. So, now that I've kept your reading time to a minimum, go ahead, get them both, you won't find them anywhere else online! An MTM exclusive.
