Here's a true folk music superstar in Jeff Talmadge. Using his ever-so-slight country, jazz, and rock influences, Talmadge has bent his folk roots into a unique sound created by passion and intent. Jeff's voice is both soft and rough, calling on each when required, to deliver a perfect baker's dozen of well-written tracks. If you really want to get totally pissed off at those who create a need for wars, just listen to "A Soldier's Christmas." This poignant tune rose only one emotion in this reviewer, one of disappointment that all of us cannot hug our loved ones at Christmas. Talmadge has assembled a release worthy of the CoraZong label, which has a good track record for sniffing out great talent. You'll hear a great deal from Jeff Talmadge and his solid guitar and vocals for a long time, so settle in and get this disc for your collection. This disc is still charting after almost a year and still has many waves to create.
