Jessica Hawthorn was born and raised in Celina, Texas, and recently moved to Nashville to work on a recording project with Texas Hall of Fame producer, Robert Metzgar. With his guidance and under the label Platinum Plus Universal, Jessica has been able to see some of her dreams realized. "We have been working on a twelve-song album that will be released in the Spring…the songs are all very much a reflection of my personality and I look forward to sharing them with the public" she says. "I feel so privileged just to be able to sit and talk with these people, much less have them play on my album, I honestly just feel so unworthy." It's this attitude that has made so many fall in love with Jessica. Her conservative upbringing is evident in everything that she does, from the way she sings to the way she carries herself…the morals instilled in her and her Texas roots run thick. "High Heels" is the current project Jessica is working on in Nashville, and is a very smart collaboration of top hit songwriters. From the fun and sassy "He Loves Me From My Hat On Down", written by Nashville legend Dennis Morgan, to the hip and fun songs written by Big & Rich's John Rich. The album is a total smash. "I honestly can say that I love every song on the album, it's so hard for me to pick a favorite that I just don't think I can do it," she laughs while thinking over songs on the record. Not only is the album packed full of big name writers and fun songs, it has a most definite Texas vibe to it. From the classic Ernest Tubb song, "Waltz Across Texas", to the upbeat and definite dance hall favorite, "Texas Hold 'Em", the album just has an evident Lone Star appeal. "I have always believed that music is a healing tool, that when you sing and you touch someone, it means more than anything you could ever say or do for them," says Jessica.
