You know the musical influences have to be a mind-blowing array of styles and rhythms. Well that's part of Joy Luther's story. The other part is that she has created a Texas influenced debut CD that tells many stories in a wonderful way. Luther's voice is ethereal at times as she winds her way effortlessly through nine cuts of original material. Her songs are based on life and she will give you background on each song in the liner notes. Excellent use of keyboards as fill instruments on this album along with strong guitar work, all from Ken Morgan, make a great set of arrangements around Luther's voice and guitar.
