Quincy Harper is an amazing 23 year old singer / songwriter from Fredericksburg Texas.  Quincy's powerful vocals, outstanding acoustic guitar playing and strong accompaniment from musicians in his band--make Quincy a Texas musician with a great future.  Quincy was raised in a musical family--his   Grandfather James Victor "Vic" Harper, from Harper Texas, played several instruments including fiddle. Vic played with the Light Crust Doughboys and with other legendary Texas musicians and bands.  Vic's love of music was passed down to his children and grandchildren.  Quincy's father, Boyd Harper is an accomplished singer, songwriter and bandleader in his own right.  Boyd's band performed many memorable shows when Quincy was growing up and as a young boy--Quincy would accompany his Dad onstage and pretend he was playing guitar.  Quincy began playing guitar and piano as a young boy, and got serious about music in his high school years.  These years also inspired Quincy's first songs.  Quincy honed his craft and developed a unique vocal style--a style that conveys strength and emotion.  Quincy's first recording project began in August, 2003 and was completed in May 2004.  The CD--titled "Hole In The Wall' is a wonderful compilation of songs that range from "full-band with acoustic feel" to "pure acoustic guitar & vocal songs".  Each song relates to real life experiences and are all influenced by growing up and playing music in Texas.  All together the CD captures the essence of Quincy's sound and marks his arrival on the Texas music scene.  Quincy is very excited about being on the road to promote the new CD and establish himself as a Texas musician with great talent, a great band and a performer that puts on an unforgettable show.  We'll see you there...
