William Richter III
Richter is a Southwest Texas-based country rock vocalist and guitarist. He's been doing the honky-tonk gigs for years, and has played on two live CDs with Pete Denney (formerly of the New Braunfels area) of rock, R&B, & blues material called the "Barn Jam" sessions. His new release, "SONGS OF WOMEN, GUNS, & BOOZE" contains twelve rock songs he's written and recorded, and features some of Texas' finest musicians - Mark Ramsey on keys, Uel Jackson on bass, Pete Denney, Philip "Muddy" Stevens, and Bobby Luna contributing guitar parts; mastered by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova Digital Audio in Austin. It's got a country-rock vibe, but branches out off of that, too, brining in influences as diverse as Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, Bob Marley, & Judas Priest ("I like to blame it on "Attention Deficit Disorder" but I'm a big fan of many types of music, and it all comes out sooner or later," says Richter.) There are four full songs on www.myspace.com/rawlyn3 if you wish to hear the tracks in their entirety, but don't buy the CD anywhere but HERE! "Got to support the Texas scene!" he says, and we couldn't agree more.
