		Rodney Joe Smith
		Rodney debuted as a singer/songwriter about 30 years ago in San Antonio, Texas, during a rather long break taken by Claude Morgan and the Buckboard Boogie Boys, who were performing at J. Alfred Prufrock’s. The audience responded with the right kind of noise that night, and he’s been hooked on performing live ever since. A solo artist who performs on guitar and harmonica, Rodney also performs with various groups, including a jazz guitar trio, a country western band, and works as a side man for others. As a sixth generation native Texan originally from Frio County and now residing in Pipe Creek, Texas, he is pleased to perform nearly 100% Texas music. As a musical stylist, his interpretations range from rhythm & blues to jazz, from swing to out and out country.
