Songs that paint a positive future for the world and a belief in what might be could make you a fan of Shelly Niebuhr. The CD is "BELIEVE" and it's full of clever and poignant writing as Shelly takes you on a journey through "Too Much Stuff, Too Little House" which is exactly what many of us connect with daily. Recorded with friends and a passion for music, Niebuhr's release uses her comfortable voice and interesting musical combinations for a collection of well-structured and well-delivered tracks. There's a fabulous instrumental track and an anthem called "God Bless The World" that employs singers from over 30 countries worldwide. The project is shrouded in pacifism and the enjoyment of life. A favorite is "Moon Child" which showcases Niebuhr's talents on this song of emancipation. An easy listen, this is a great first project for Niebuhr. Shelly adds in her liner notes, "…we all drink from the same human cup." Her altruistic approach certainly permeates her music. Give it a listen.
