Brenda Freed, Amy Cartee, and Karené are Texas Hot Flash. Without a doubt, these are three great voices that blend in splendid harmony reminiscent of the Lennon Sisters, but with a unique style and flair. Their arrangements are fresh and inviting as they deliver songs from every era and genre in an 'a cappella' symphony rarely using musical accompaniment. "LIVE! UNDERGROUND" was recorded in the abysmal cave at Longhorn Cavern State Park and is a baker's dozen (with the bonus track) including the Freed/Cartee original, "Send That Pizza Back" which is a stand-up-for-yourself anthem. The mélange of vocals is stunning as Texas Hot Flash offers a soirée for the ears spanning from "Ragtime Cowboy Joe" to "Bei Mir Bist Du Schoen." "WHAT YOU HEAR IS WHAT YOU GET" was recorded live at the Pioneer Town's Opera House and is a dozen cuts with more use of instrumentation but still a powerful dynamic of vocal arrangement.
