The Scott Taylor Band
"It's all about the music," says front man, Scott Taylor of The Scott Taylor Band. Scott has been performing in the Texas club and dance hall scene with his brand of country music for over 17 years and knows a thing or two about what it takes to entertain the masses. His high-energy show "doesn't slow down until they kick us out." That's what keeps the fans coming back for more, night after night. Scott Taylor, formerly the lead singer of the well-known South Texas band, The Emotions (the band that helped to launch Curb recording artist David Kersh's career) has forged his own path to create country music with his own style and sound. "I grew up listening to, and learning from, songs and artists back in the good old dance hall days," Scott says of his early days in the music business. Today, you can hear much of that influence in the bands' set list and original recorded material. The band members that Scott has been able to attract to his organization are top-notch musicians that gravitate toward a great show and great music. It's no wonder they joined up to form The Scott Taylor Band. Sammy Zamora (drums), David Stockton (bass guitar), Billy Jo High (lead guitar), Wade Stockton (fiddle), Steve Carson (lead guitar), Mike Parker (harmonica), Gary Carriger (steel guitar). Over the years, Scott and the band have shared stages with artists such as Tracy Lawrence, Shenandoah, Rick Trevino, Robert Earl Keen, SheDaisy, Big & Rich and David Kersh, Jason Boland, Delbert McClinton, Monte Montgomery & Reckless Kelly to name a few. September of 2012 saw the band back in the studio recording their second studio album, BEAUTIFUL SIN, which was released on February 16, 2013. The Scott Taylor Band is running full steam ahead with high expectations of their career's success and look forward to what the future holds. "My dream has always been to make a living in the music business and I will play music till the day I die," says Taylor.
