My friends and I went to see Pat Green play at Rabbs in Ruston and Wade and the West 84 opened and we got their CD that night. We thought we would wear the CD out, but we haven't yet...and it has been almost three months! |

You guys are exactly right - no doubt this is the best live album I've heard yet. I just happen to get a chance to work with Wade last weekend (I work in production at BBT), as I have before, and always loved him as a performer and songwriter as well as a guy to just hang with. But last week I gained a whole new respect for this Texas boy. He got heart and lots of it - I just got to share this with you. We as a group at BBT and Texas music lost a dear friend and partner RICK SMITH of SMITH MUSIC GROUP and Wade was there for support, as well as a performance Friday night. What a man - he closed the show with the band leaving the stage and him guitar in hand stepped to the mic and sang "Angels Fly Too Close To The Ground" in memory of Rick. It just DON'T GET ANY BETTER THAN THIS. And he did one hell of a job. You keep it up, Wade - I'm behind you all the way. God bless you! |
