Review by Lucky Boyd

Jeff Keith brings his brand of Texas country music to a fabulous EP release, LOST IN TEXAS.  From the opening cut, you’ll know that Keith is all about the Texas attitude.  Surrounded by an ace list of pickers, this is a diverse, yet within genre offering of Keith’s talents.  Currently, Keith is out there garnering support for his music, and it won’t take long for fans to catch on.  The writing is solid, using standard themes with current nomenclature that sets listeners of any generation at ease.  Just a tad raucous on some tracks, and a bit subdued on others, Keith spans the spectrum of dynamics, leaving fans wanting for more.  The Americana and rock influences work their way into Keith’s music and make for an entertaining project.  If Keith can support this release with touring, he should be able to garner tons of support for his next project.  If Jeff Keith doesn’t truly get ‘lost’ in Texas, he will be around for along time, entertaining Texas fans with a soft delivery when needed, and an ability to deliver a menacing performance when necessary.  Keith has the formula, and I bet he’s not afraid to use it.
